Suretech Development Limited has spent more than 15 years on conceptual and component development of the power upgrade reactor refit technology. During this period numerous studies have been completed, design alternatives explored and manufacturing processes evaluated. This has led to the identification of novel design solutions, some of which have been patented and others retained as proprietary intellectual property. United States and Canadian patents include:

• US Patent 9,418,765 B2 Nuclear Reactor Cores Comprising a Plurality of Fuel Elements, and fuel elements for use therein
• US Patent 9,570,202 B2 Method of Fine Forming Sapphire Tubes and Joining Sapphire Components for Nuclear Reactor Fuel Elements and Assemblies
• US Patent 10,060,049 B2 Method of Making a Joint Between Sapphire Parts
• Canadian Patent 2,846,332 Nuclear Reactor Fuel Element and Method of Fabricating Components

These patents relate to the refit reactor fuel channel design and fuel manufacturing.

Given the 49 CANDU and Indian pressurized heavy water reactors (PHWRs) in the world, there is a substantial potential market for the reactor refit technology. There is also a market for a derivative new build PHWR product based on the higher temperature and pressure coolant refit technology. This product will be more thermally efficient than existing or currently planned light- and heavy-water reactors with flexible fuel cycles varying from natural and enriched uranium and mixed oxide and thorium fuels.

Suretech Development Limited is open to investors that are prepared to provide capital to further refit reactor technology development and marketing in return for a stake in existing and future intellectual property. This is an opportunity to participate at an early stage in a technology that has a multi-decade lifecycle.
